Feelin' a bit

at the moment.

Downloaded a lot of awesome music lately that I'd like to share. Here are the albums I've been listening to for the past week or so.

Progressive by Kalafina - Being a huge Yuki Kajiura fan, I cannot miss anything by FJ or Kalafina. The new single, Progressive, is very catchy and addictive. I didn't feel the vibe the first time I heard the sample, but the song does get better and better as you listen to it. And Keiko finally has a bigger part in the song! <3 Utsukushisa is very pretty as well, but a little slower than I would have liked.

5th Story: Roman by Sound Horizon - By far the best Sound Horizon album I've heard. Other than the fact that I don't understand Japanese and don't know what they're saying in the narration, the songs are freaking amazing. So much variety in the voices of the singers, each so beautiful and elegant. Kaori is a member and I love her voice so very much. But I guess what makes Sound Horizon more awesome is their live performances (can be found on Youtube). True storytelling through song at its best! My favourite song from Roman would have to be Utsukushiki Mono by Yuuki, BY FAR. Her voice is so clear and so insanely beautiful, and such a lovely melody is perfect for her voice. Honoo by Rikki and the Houseki song by Remi are also ones that I particularly enjoyed.

Pandora Hearts OST 2 - Yuki Kajiura is a freakin' genius. Pandora Hearts Expanded and Everytime You Kissed Me are my favourites from that album. It's great to hear from Emily Bindinger again. Her work in Fiction was fantastic and she can actually sing English, thankfully. I've almost learned all the lyrics in Everytime You Kissed Me. Such a fun song to sing.

18... by G.E.M. Tang - For a newcomer in HK, she's pretty good. I didn't think I'd like her before, but her first album impressed me. The new one is quite awesome as well. Most of the songs on the album sound quite good and I approve of her vocal abilities. And yes Derek, it's JIK SEE (即使), not SIK SEE...-__-

Circus by FictionJunction YUUKA - Another masterpiece by Yuki Kajiura. I'm actually surprised I didn't get this album earlier. Then again, I stopped paying attention to Yuuka after discovering the other FJs. Yuuka's voice is still very nice, though I still prefer Keiko's and Kaori's. Listening to Circus, I think I like it more than Destination. Can't wait to see YK's Live vol. 4 featuring Yuuka!

2NE1's 1st Mini Album by 2NE1 - Another group that I never thought I'd pay much attention to. However, after Andrew sent me the song Fire, I kept listening to their new songs, and I must say they're not bad at all. Lately I've been listening to random Korean songs from the "newer" Korean bands (Ring Ding Dong by SHINee [freaking addictive] and Let Me Hear Your Voice by Big Bang) but 2NE1's is the only full album that I downloaded. I Don't Care is a very good song, and the remix is awesome as well. Thanks for it Dong!

I realized that this entry sounds a lot like PoA's most recent one. No copying intended, it's purely coincidental, I swear! =D
